My Goals for May 2021

My Goals for May 2021

Hello May, I can’t believe it’s already spring. Here in the UK at the moment we are just easing our way out of lockdown number 3, that we have been in since December! Crazy times we currently live in, but I’m hoping this will be our last lockdown.

The last time I did one of these monthly goal posts was in January. Honestly, I just haven’t really felt myself since then, and lockdown number 3 really got to me. I shut myself away for those 4 months and was far too hard on myself. However, looking back maybe I needed that to get to where I am now, in a much more motivated and peaceful mindset. So, let’s get onto my January goals reflection. The first goal I set was to reach 150 subscribers on my YouTube channel. I am very pleased to say I passed this and have reached 161 at the time of writing this. So, a big tick for that one 😊.

Goal two was to start an empties series on Instagram and on this blog. I did manage to start this on Instagram. Go follow me on there if you want to stay updated with my progress. However, due to a lack of motivation, I didn’t start on this blog yet. However, I am planning to do it this month, better late than ever! So, I’d say half completed. Finally, my last goal was for me, my family and friends to get through January safely both mentally and physically. As I spoke about earlier my mental health hasn’t been great, but I will say on the whole this goal was a success and I am very grateful for it!

Three out of three for this month, one goal isn’t fully completed, but near enough! Now onto May goals

My TOP 3 goals for May 2021

  1. Talk about my blog on Instagram. Due to my anxiety getting the better of me, I have been holding off sharing my blog on Instagram. I talk about my YouTube channel and Instagram accounts on here, but something holds me back from talking about my blog. Promoting my page on my Instagram would be really beneficial in many ways, including furthering my reach and having more to talk about on my Instagram. So, I just need to get over my fears and go for it!
  1. Speaking of my Instagram, my next goal is to up my Instagram stories content. I tend to post fairly regularly with the inventory and empties posts I do, but stories are a whole other matter. I think stories are a great way to engage more with your followers, but I think for me it once again comes down to my anxiety. As you can probably tell, my anxiety is definitely one of the banes of my life, however I continue to try and overcome it.
  1. Last goal is a bit of a health one. I would like to start drinking green tea everyday again. I used to have one every day and I actually really enjoy them and feel so much better in myself when I do drink them regularly. Somewhere along the lockdown way I stopped, but once I’m in the routine of drinking a cup a day again, I should continue this one.
